Vacation is one of my favorite things - time to relax, get away from the day-to-day, and spend time with your friends and family. Last week, we went up to Rørvig to a beautiful summer house with my entire family, who came up from Germany. We were super lucky with the weather, as the Danish late summer (“sensommer”) gave us warm temperatures and days full of sun. The house we rented was the most insanely amazing vacation home I’ve ever been to - I’ll share some pictures separately!
One night, after dinner at the fish restaurant at the harbor (last year’s post here), we drove/ biked up to the beach, armed with a bottle of wine and our cameras, to catch the sunset. There is just something magical about sunsets in general, but even more so on the beach. The calm and quiet, with only the soft sound of the waves, the cool breeze, the smell of salt in the air all make the perfect background for the stunning colors, as that huge ball of fire slowly drops into the ocean.
So without much commentary, here are some pictures. Rørvig beach really does have some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen so far, so if you get a chance, go up there and see for yourself some day!
Obviously, this type of shot works much better when the glass is not plastic…
My mom, keeping a watchful eye (and taking photos) as my dad and sisters head to the water.
My dad, who is a much better photographer than me!
And just like that, the sun had disappeared…
