God påske! I hope everyone is enjoying the long Easter weekend so far!
On Thursday, my boyfriend and I took the trip up north for the classic family Easter lunch, which is usually held at the family’s summer houses in Rørvig. We were lucky enough to get some beautiful, sunny, spring-like Easter weather, and found ourselves with a couple of minutes to spare, so we stopped by the harbor – no trip to Rørvig is complete without a stop at the harbor!
I love Rørvig harbor – it’s such a quaint little place, with the colorful sailboats teetering in the moles, seagulls shrieking, and the fresh, salty wind in your hair. You can find another post about Rørvig havn here.

I could’ve spent all afternoon sitting in the sun, but it soon was time for the big family Easter lunch. In my boyfriend’s family, that is typically held on Thursday (called “skærtorsdag” in Danish). Two years ago, a wrote a post about what we typically eat at such a Danish “påskefrokost” – you can find it here. We also had a couple of glasses of my homemade snaps!
Afterwards, it was time for a little walk towards the beach and a game of “æggetrilling”, egg rolling, for which we all had to paint our own eggs.
Despite the fact that my egg was undoubtedly the prettiest of them all, I lost big time – probably because we played in the woods, which proved to be a territorial disadvantage for my nautical egg!
How did you spend your Easter so far? God påske and happy Easter!
