What a beautiful weekend we’ve had!
Thursday was a bank holiday, and Friday was a day off for many people, including me, which made this a four day weekend! If you ask me, that should be the default - I don’t know who came up with that whole split of five working days versus two days weekend.
And the weather could not have been more perfect! Well, I was happy pretty much all weekend, except a brief period on Thursday, where I helped carry a couch to the fourth floor. But other than that - awesomeness all around!
On Sunday, we headed up to the summer house again. I’d really been looking forward to being in Rørvig and eating lunch in the sun at the fish restaurant in the harbor! We hit the local flea market before and found some treasures, before going for a stroll along the sailboats.
I wish I had brought my swimsuit - the water was just so inviting! But I couldn’t even reach it with my toes.
After soaking up some rays, we headed to the local fish restaurant.
I’ve written about it before (here) - I love that place! It’s super non-fancy, with plastic chairs and paper plates, but the fish is so amazingly fresh and delicious. The fiskefilet is a must order, and I love their potato salad, which contains a good portion of grainy mustard. Squeeze of lemon and loads of remoulade, and you’ve got yourself a lunch!
Look at that portion size, too! That could feed a small family (but it didn’t, because I ate it all).
On the way back, we cycled along the water, on a little pathway right behind a row of beautiful houses, many of which have their own little piers.
Imagine waking up to this view!
